Sweet Heat, Buffalo Hot Wings

Author:
Ingredients
  • 3 lbs. wing sections
  • salt & pepper to season
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup Frank’s hot sauce
  • 1 Tbls. maple syrup (For THM, use 1 Tbls alternative sweetener and ½ tsp. maple flavoring)
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 400˚. Use convection, if you have it.
  2. Spread out wings on large sheet pan so that they’re not touching.
  3. (I use a sheet with a grate overtop so they get crispy on all sides)
  4. Bake wings for 15 minutes, turn over and bake for another 15 minutes.
  5. Turn oven to broil.
  6. Move wings to top shelf and broil for about 5 minutes or until as brown as you want them to be, watch them carefully.
  7. For the sauce:
  8. Melt butter.
  9. Add hot sauce and maple syrup (or alternative).
  10. Stir well.
  11. Drizzle or drench wings in sauce.
  12. Serve with blue cheese dressing.
