Peanut Butter & Chocolate Rice Crispy Squares

Crispy chocolate rice cereal makes this recipe a perfect pair with peanut butter.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups natural peanut butter
  • 1 cup rice syrup
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 2 Tbls. Butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 5 cups One Degree chocolate crisped rice cereal
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Prepare an 8" x 8" baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a large sauce pan, combine the first four ingredients and melt, stirring constantly until smooth.
  3. Stir in vanilla.
  4. Stir in cereal and mix thoroughly.
  5. Press into baking pan firmly using a sheet of parchment paper to smooth the top.
  6. While still hot sprinkle chocolate chips on top and place in warm oven (175˚) watching carefully until chocolate chips are melted.
  7. Smooth the chocolate chips over the top.
  8. Cool completely then cut into 16 squares.
  9. These will store at room temperature for about a week.
