Parmesan & Bacon Green Beans

Serves: 4-8 servings
Ingredients
  • 1-2 lbs. fresh green beans
  • ½ lb. bacon, cooked and diced
  • Bacon fat, reserved from cooking it.
  • Cheese of your choice
Instructions
  1. On the stovetop in a large skillet, steam the green beans with a little (1/2 cup) water in the pan and a lid on it. Steam until they are crisp tender.
  2. Remove the lid and allow the water to evaporate. Watch carefully.
  3. Add 2 Tbls. bacon fat and stir to coat the green beans.
  4. Saute until green beans begin to brown and caramelize.
  5. Sprinkle with warm bacon pieces and cheese.
  6. Serve immediately.
