Quick Beef BBQ

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs. ground beef (preferably pastured)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped OR 1 Tbls. onion flakes
  • ¾ c. catsup (high fructose corn syrup free, please)
  • 3 Tbls. brown sugar (preferably organic)
  • 3 Tbls. vinegar (I use Bragg’s AC vinegar)
  • 3 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1-1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. sea or Celtic salt
Instructions
  1. If using fresh onion, fry in a little bit of natural fat (lard, bacon fat, butter) in large skillet.
  2. If using dried onion, begin by frying ground beef, over medium heat, until browned.
  3. Add dried onion, if using.
  4. Combine all other ingredients in a bowl, whisking to combine.
  5. Once meat is browned, pour sauce overtop and stir in.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for about 15 minutes to blend flavors.
  7. Serve on hamburger rolls with potato chips and pickles.
