Ham Loaf with Brown Sugar Glaze

- Ham Loaf:
- 1 lb. fresh ground pork
- 1 lb. fresh ground ham (not sliced, ground through a meat grinder)
- 1 egg, large
- 1 tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. black pepper
- Glaze:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ⅔ cup water
- ⅔ cup vinegar (white or apple cider are both good)
- 1-1/4 tsp. dry mustard (you substitute prepared mustard, use 1-1/2 tsp.)
- For the Ham Loaf:
- Mix the meats together with the other ingredients.
- Form into two equal sized loaves.
- Bake at 350˚ for about 30 minutes.
- Pour prepared glaze overtop and baste often.
- Bake for another 30 minutes.
- For the Glaze:
- Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan.
- Bring to boil and cook for 15 minutes.
- Pour over ham loaf.
