Homemade Cheddar Cheese Ball – Mr. Farmer’s Daughter

The original idea for this came from an old set of books I have called “The Tightwad Gazette.” It’s a series of three books compiled from six years of The Tightwad Gazette newsletters. I feel like they were blog posts before blogs became a thing and I think if Amy Dacyczyn (Here’s a great video to introduce you to her and her philosophy on saving money and being frugal.) would have started 20 years later, she would’ve been a very famous blogger. You can buy her book as a compilation edition now right here.

Anyway, Amy would include some of her favorite homemade recipes in her newsletters so as a young mom, this is one of the ways I first learned how to cook. This cheese ball has been enjoyed by our family since the early 1990’s. I’ve changed it a bit but not too much.
